Seasons Greetings from the OPL...
Oregon Premier League, thank you for a fantastic 2012. The upcoming year promises to be even better: many clubs are completing or starting new field projects, participation numbers continue to grow, our top teams are gaining recognition at national tournaments, and more and more Oregon players are making their marks on the game at higher levels as we continue to grow the game here, starting with your club's U10 development programs.
As a thank you to our families and all that you do to support youth soccer here in Oregon, and elsewhere, we've teamed up with a few of our friends to bring you some great end-of-the-year offerings:
Our friends at Golazo are offering a 2-for-1 deal on their products though January 7, 2013! Check out the offer here and stock up on Golazo for the New Year!
The fine folks at Walton PT are giving all OPL families the opportunity for a free 15-minute consult at one of their two locations, now through January 31st, 2013. Give them a call and tell them you're with the OPL to set an appointment.
Lastly, this offer comes to you from adidas, the OPL, and our newest partners, AC Portland. We've recently teamed up with AC Portland and have offered our support to their program in a number of ways, including donating the whole sum of any fines issued against clubs and collected by the Oregon Premier League for any reason whatsoever to AC Portland. AC Portland supplies the tools to empower students to lead healthy lives, succeed academically, and inspire positive community engagement, utilizing soccer as a primary motivator. You can read a little bit more about their story HERE.
Here's where you come in: adidas is giving passes to their employee store, good through January 31st, 2013, for any donation $10 and above. We are hoping to reach a goal of $2500 in donations on behalf of OPL families by the end of January. Now, sure you can get into the employee store because you're a Timbers Season Ticket Holder, or you know a friend of a friend, but giving to this cause means just a little bit more: If just one familiy from each of our participating teams were to donate $10, we'd raise over $3500 for AC Portland. This would get their year off to a great start, and expand their services beyond the over 400 students and 8 elementary schools they currently serve. And with the new Timbers jerseys set to drop sometime in January, you never know when you might need a pass...we hope you can support this organization because we truly believe in soccer's ability to empower and inspire kids and set positive examples of community service and engagement. DONATE HERE.
We thank you again for all you do for the game of soccer here in Oregon. It wouldn't be the same without the support you give your kids, your teams, your clubs, and this league.
We wish all the very best to you and your families for a fun and happy 2013!
