SCHEDULES!
Posted Sep 1, 2010

If you haven't looked, the OPL Fall Season schedules have been posted right over there under the "Standings" link. There are still changes that are being made to the schedules, so please bear with us as we iron out the last wrinkles in the schedule and be sure to check to see if there have been changes to your team's schedule.

A few things to keep in mind: this is a venue-based schedule. This means we are trying to maximize the alotted field times to put consecutive games on a field to ensure a full crew of referees are there to officiate your game.

- Because of NWCL games and some requested days off, there are some teams who will play three games in a weekend. We are trying to eliminate this wherever possible, but some teams have requested this in order to complete their league season.

- Lastly, once the schedules are finalised it will be extremely difficult to reschedule. With the flexibility of the US Club Soccer Player Passes, it should be very easy to add players from your club to fill in if your team is low on numbers for a particular game.

Thanks for your patience! We are looking forward to a great season!

OPL Night with the Portland Timbers!

What a night! A 3-0 thrashing by the Timbers with 15,000+ in attendance! Thanks so much to everyone who attended! Canby United Primavera had a blast, as shown here...we had over 300 people take advantage of the discounted tickets the Timbers offered us for the game, not to mention the huge contingent from Eastside United who had their club night tonight. We look forward to making this an annual event!

Welcome to the launch of the new Oregon Premier League!

Over the coming weeks, we will be adding new content, updating the fields list, and of course publish the fall schedules. The schedules are the most important, so look for those in the next day or two. We have been hard at work accommodating nearly every request and working through some kinks in the new software so that we can provide the best experience for you. Please contact us if you are experiencing problems with the website or the schedules software so we can work to fix them immediately! If we don't know there's a problem, we can't fix it.

Thank you for your patience!

NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!
The Oregon Premier League extends hearty congratulations to the BU18 Eastside United FC Liverpool team for winning the USYS Under 18 National Championship yesterday in Overland Park, Kansas. They become only the second team in Oregon youth soccer history to win a national championship title. Mikhail Doholis provided the 30th minute gamewinner to give Eastside the trophy. In addition to earning the National Championship, they were also the recipients of the tournament's fair play award, goalkeeper Ryan Harding was awarded the Golden Glove as the tournament's best goalkeeper, and Steven Evans was awarded the Golden Ball as the top goalscorer. Most of these boys are headed to college in a few short weeks to begin their collegiate playing careers, and we wish them the best of luck!

OPL DONATES TO REGIONAL CHAMPIONS - The Oregon Premier League, recognizing the hard work and consistent results on the soccer field, has given $4,000 to clubs representing Oregon in the two National Championship Tournaments, helping to offset the large costs associated with traveling to these tournaments. Each club received $1,000 to support their team's trip to either Virginia Beach, Virginia, or Overland Park, Kansas. GU15 FC Portland Marine and BU17 OSSA Green each won the US Club Soccer Seattle Regional Qualifier and will head to Virginia Beach to compete in the US Club Soccer National Championships later this month. BU18 Eastside United FC Liverpool and BU19 Westside Metros Internationals are currently in Kansas, as the champions of USYS Region IV. Good luck to all our teams participating!
