Our Club is located in Portland, Oregon and in 2012 we decided we wanted to do soccer differently.  Unlike typical American soccer clubs, who operate as a collection of individual teams, we made the choice to unify our club around a common philosophy and methodology.  For the last two years our club directors have traveled to Barcelona, Spain to study from coaches from within the Spanish soccer system in and around Barcelona.

Barcelona Oregon is a community-oriented soccer club that provides high quality soccer programs focused on all-around player development, both on and off the field.  Priority is placed upon technical and tactical proficiency, as well as superb citizenship from our players, parents, and coaches.  Located on the east side of Portland, Barcelona Oregon proudly serves east Multnomah and Clackamas counties.

For the sake of true player development Barcelona Oregon always emphasizes the process over the result.  Our style of play is built around a team concept, where possession with a purpose and intelligent soccer is encouraged through creativity, combination play, and an attacking mentality.  We ask that our teams 1) are always the more sporting and respectful team, and 2) attempt to win by being the more creative and attacking side.  A successful result can only occur when those two objectives are met.
