The Oregon Premier League, under the sanctioning of US Club Soccer, operates a highly competitive U11-U14 Spring league aimed at providing a high level of competition for competitive clubs in Oregon and Southwest Washington. With an 8 game season operating from mid-February through April, the Spring League is structured to provide participating teams the right level of competition for teams, maintaining a challenging environment for indidvidual and team development.
All divisions are formed based on the number of entrants per age group, and whether or not the team is planning on participating in State Cup. Teams participating in State Cup will start their league mid-February and conclude the first part of April. Teams NOT participating in April will start the first weekend of March and play through the end of April.
Divisions are based upon State Cup participation, and then mixed based on participants so teams will play some teams they didn’t play in the FalThe divisions are formed based on the overall competitive viability of the interested teams, so the numbers in these divisions can range anywhere from 5 to 11 teams. Each participating club’s DOC is given the projected divisions so they can request any changes for their teams. A team’s finish in Spring has little to no bearing on their placement for the following Fall Season, unless they are a team new to the OPL. Participation in the Spring League is not mandatory for Fall League teams.
